How do I make a projector work with digital scenery?

Most projectors will have a recommended maximum output defined by the manufacturer. You have the ability to push the projector to a larger output by simply moving the projector further back. There are a few reasons the manufacturer would recommend a maximum output, but the specifications are used to define the parameters for the sharpest and brightest projected image (usually for cases like presentations and projecting small words, things not relevant to theatre).

If you move a projector further away from the surface it gets dimmer and less sharp. We recommend exceeding the projector manufacturer's maximum recommended size because, in theatre, projections are used as an element of the background. Because projections aren't the most front and center element in your production, crisp sharpness is not required.
