Features of the New StagePlayer Beta
- Present/Preview Mode
- The green "Start" button is the way you can start the first video of the show collection
- The green line on the cue sheet relates to the video that is actively playing on the output screen
- The orange/gold line on the cue sheet relates to the video that is cued up to play next
- You can initiate the start of this video in two ways:
- "Next" button - which will let the current video play through until the end and then seamlessly transition to the next video cue
- "Jump to Next" button - which will immediately crossfade to the next video cue
- You can initiate the start of this video in two ways:
- When you click on any cue line, a pop-up will give you the option to "Cue Next" (which will put this video in the next cue position, or "Jump To" which will immediately crossfade to the next video cue

- Editing functionality
- Within a scene, you can click and drag the two white bars next to the cue you would like to move to the desired position
- To move a cue outside of the default scene, use the three dots to the right and select in the dropdown menu the desired position for the cue
- Run through the cues in the scene display
- Editing features
- When highlighting over the cue thumbnail, a preview of the video will display
- Cues that are moved out of order from the default rental will "disable" the animation cue - this is to ensure that the animation does not display images of the cue that was moved
- Exporting Cue Sheet
- Before or after edits are made, download the "Cue Sheet" to an Excel or CSV file
- Editing functionality
- Output Window
- The output window could previously be closed, causing an error within the application - this is fixed in the latest versions of StagePlayer
- The output window now displays the Broadway Media logo, to help correctly setup a secondary display/projector
- Performance Tab
- The Performance Tab now displays the device's compatibility with the software. It makes recommendations to improve performance and can also when troubleshooting with a customer. This will make it clear if the device will run the animations successfully.
- Download issues
- In the previous versions of StagePlayer, successful show collection downloads was the primary-reported concern. In this version of the application, many improvements were made to achieve a successful download including 1) pause mid-download if the internet connection was lost, 2) resume download if an error occurred, 3) unzip modification to ensure that the package could be read by the application
- Settings Mode
- For computers will less computing abilities, Lite Mode enables you to run the videos with some noticeable performance downgrades
- Enable Debug Mode is helpful when trying to troubleshoot with a customer service team member of Broadway Media. This displays relevant code on the output window for further troubleshooting from our software development team.
