My microphone signal is cutting in and out
This could be caused by a few different things:
- Is your receiver a long way from the stage? Say, 75-100 feet? You'll have much better reception from your transmitters if you move your receiver closer. If moving closer isn't an option, we recommend adding an expansion pack to your rental. The expansion pack includes paddle antennas which will extend your reach.
- When your signal cuts out, do the RF meters on your rack suggest that the signal is dropping, or is it just the audio? If it's always the same transmitters that are dropping, it'll be best to rescan and re-sync your transmitters.
- Are your costumes made of polyester or mylar? This can cause a faraday cage effect that can sometimes cause RF drops. Moving your transmitters to the outside of the costume will solve the problem.
