Common Mount Assembly

Ready to fly your projector? In this follow-up tutorial, Corrie demonstrates how to properly attach the mounting hardware to your economy stage projector and secure the truss adapter to a pipe or truss safely.

Pro-Tips for a Safe Setup & Avoiding Fees:

  • Watch the Arrows: The mounting plate has arrows on it. These must point directly toward your audience (downstage) and your projection surface (upstage). Do not face them stage left or stage right!
  • Do NOT Overtighten: Screw the hardware until it stops, then give it just one extra quarter-turn. Overtightening strips the screws, requiring our team to cut them off, which leads to replacement fees.
  • Safety First: Never work on a stage alone. If you are mounting equipment on a ladder or lift, always ensure you have a spotter at the base to pass you gear safely.
  • Washer Order Matters: When securing the U-bolts to your pipe, keep the hardware in this exact order from top to bottom: Flat Washer ➡️ Lock Washer ➡️ Nut.

The two Allen wrenches included in your kit have "Return Me" tags on them. Please keep them in the accessory case when not in use and ensure they are shipped back with your rental.
