What do I need to use digital scenery?

Using digital scenery is much more simple than many people think. In order to utilize digital scenery in your space you only need these things, many of which you already have:

  1. Content is the digital scenery images or videos that will be projected or displayed during the performance.
  2. Playback is the software used to program and operate the digital scenery content. Broadway Media delivers content through the playback software StagePlayer.
  3. Input is the device used to run the playback and content, typically a Mac or Windows PC computer. View system requirements here.
  4. Connection hardware is the cabling and equipment used to connect your input to your output, i.e. connect your computer to the projector. Learn more about the common equipment set-up and the connection hardware you may need here.
  5. The output is the device used to display the digital scenery content, commonly a projector. Other examples may include an LED wall or TV.
  6. The surface is where a projector will display the content during your live performance, e.g. projection screen, curtain, cyc, or wall.
